Oooh. I love LOtR. I've read them all many times. Good teaser.
I read the LOTR once, but I liked the movies much better. However, I am going to try and reread them this year, because I really enjoyed The Silmarillion and The Hobbit. Great quote! It sends a shiver down my back.

I only ever read The Hobbit and that was a long time ago when I was a kid. I think I would enjoy reading all of these now when I could better appreciate them and take the time to follow the details - the movies were awesome but got me a bit turned around at time with so many characters and regions.
My boys tell me I need to read this series. I loved the movies.
