Then Sings My Soul Saturdays

I have to say I just searched for this song using the wrong artist for 10 minutes before I realized I had the wrong one. But in the end I had that aha moment and quickly found it.
In my Bible study last week part of our study was about what is from God and for God and I thought of this song, which I really like anyways!

John 1:3
"Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made."

Colossians 1:16
"For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him."

For the Record

I need to write somethings down for the record. I'm going to start off today with Baby Boy of course who is now 13 months old!! He is an occasional biter, frequent hair puller and avid dancer! Seriously every time he hears music anywhere he starts waving his arms around!
He also really loves Moose or at least his voice. This morning I was feeding Baby Boy in his highchair in the kitchen and he heard Moose's voice on the TV, he started 'complaining' to me and trying to get out pointing toward the TV! I think maybe just maybe we watch to much Noggin! Baby Boy loves his YoBabyYogurt along with bananas, strawberries, broccoli, spaghetti and most foods I give him! His actual words he says are uh oh and mama and dada. I still doubt if he means mama and dada when he says it. I've heard him attempt to say nigh night and more (he signs more for food). Baby Boy's other past times are helping me unfold laundry and trying to wiggle down when I hold him! He still drinks from a bottle, but does use a sippy cup too. He is on whole milk now instead of formula. Right now he is pretending to talk on a toy phone. And that is all for this edition of For the Record. I'm going to try and write some more some about the other rugrats children.

Oh yes and one more parting note, Baby Boy is no longer using this seat, thus making bath-time a complete challenge now!

Thousand Words Thursday

Cheaper Than Therapy

What you can't tell from the pictures is that he actually does have on matching Babylegs, he just brought me that stray blue and brown one that he wanted me to put on him too! And you also can't see that I got two minutes to get a shot of this newly made diaper (embroidery courtesy of my Mom) before I had to cover it up so he didn't take it off! Not Me Monday

There is no possible way that today is Monday already, because Tuesday was just yesterday. Well evidently MckMama has spoken(well I'm thinking she's going to soon anyway) and the whole rest off the world and therefore it must be Monday! So without further adieu let's get started with all those wonderful things I didn't do this week! My NMM's today are all about the kitchen! I thought this was a great choice, since nothing ever goes wrong in my kitchen!

I didn't decide to make some apple bread at 9 o'clock one night last week and I wasn't so eager to eat some that I pulled it out the second the timer went off and turned it upside down to empty from the bread pan. If I had done that the top would have fallen off revealing the gooey inside that wasn't finished cooking and I would have stuck the top back on and put it back in the oven. Then I would have checked on it a few minutes later to discover in all my haste to get some in my mouth I'd already turned off the oven so it didn't finish cooking. Of course then I'd turn back on the oven and forget about it thus have a hard lump of bread at the end of things. But none of that happened so no need to discuss it further!

I didn't and don't get big huge wet spots on my shirt everytime I wash my dishes! This would never because I'm always neat and wear an apron!

That last load of dishes didn't take me over 40 minutes to do because I'd delayed doing them so long! That wouldn't happen because I just love doing dishes so I always keep up with them!

I never leave the water going while I'm doing dishes either, since my daughter brought home water conservation homework for me to do I know better than that!

My kitchen floor is not in desperate need of mopping! When my son spilled some milk this morning I didn't say "that's fine the floor is filthy anyway". I've not been saying such things for over a week.

We have not eaten, painted, unloaded groceries, done homework, sorted Girl Scout cookies and more just within the past few days all at the kitchen table. My table never got 'swept' with that little broom you see lying on it either!

I did not smell a burning when I preheated my oven yesterday, I did not open it to find some unrecognizable piece of food in the bottom that I attempted removing with a napkin, it didn't fall apart because it was so well done!

I did not cook a whole dozen eggs yesterday morning for breakfast, I do not have enough people in my family to eat a dozen scrambled eggs!

I didn't help at all with the Dad & Lad cake bake for cub scouts! The cake they did was not supposed to look like a Nintendo DS with a Pokemon game on it, because I have no children that are that obsessed with such things!

I didn't just edit this post because I remembered I needed to get in a picture of their cake!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday, now go read some more NMM's!

Then Sings My Soul Saturdays

I love this song, of course that is why I'm sharing it! Knowing that God knows me better than anyone, that he knows my thoughts and can complete a sentence for me and is always there even when no one else knows I'm in need, He is there with open arms!

Grilling Goodness

GoldenGoodness

I decided to jump on this easy and fun bandwagon! Okay it's getting a bit late, but if you want to join in this week or another go and check out Tina at Golden Goodness!

1. What is your favorite family activity? Right now I would have to say the beach, but anything that gets us out of the house and having fun together.

2. Do you know how to play poker? Maybe, a tiny bit, but I've not played in years.

3. Have you ever been to a chiropractor? Once quite a few years ago, I think it was supposed to help my TMJ they cracked my neck which freaked me out so I never wanted to go back.

4. Have you ever slopped pigs or milked cows? Nope no pigs or cows in my life!

5. How are you doing with the goals you made for the New Year? Uh, I made goals? Oh yeah I remember, well I've been exercising a lot more but not as much a I resolved and not eating like I should, I've not given up though. I've also been going to church more and memorizing some verses.

6. Is there something you dread doing every day? The dishes and laundry, the two things that never seem to stop!

7. What room in your home would you most like to buy new furniture for? That's tough, but right now I'd have to say our bedroom, we sleep on a full size bed that is lumpy and bumpy. I'm really wanting a King size lately!

8. If I had a dollar for every time I yawned, I'd be able to pay for some one to watch the kids so I could sleep for a few days. (I just yawned so that came to mind)

Spreading the Word

I had to come share about this giveaway, because even if you don't win anything I think you might want to buy something! The giveaway is for 10 people to win 'Secret Keeper Girl' items which are 'Great resources for biblical truth about modesty, purity and building mother/daughter relationships.' I know with only one daughter in the house who is officially a 'tween' we could really use several of these items. In fact I plan on purchasing the My Best Friend, Jesus Secret Keeper Girl Bible Study. Now go and visit the Bod Squad Blog so you can enter too!

PS. I'm still working on something, I've not forgotten, perhaps sometime next week I'll share what it is =)!

And one more thing I just realized my giveaways tag is misspelled....but I don't know how to change it, sorry spelling nuts!

It's a Great Day to be Alive

Oh my goodness, I completely missed not me monday yesterday, I actually started a post for it and never got to finish/post it so I'll save it for next week! But it was totally worth it to miss it!

My children had off school yesterday and my husband off work. So after picking up the free rental car ( they were fixing my van due to a very minor rear ending in a parking lot) we went off to our local beach! We went to one that is only about 20 minutes from us. It was really too cold to swim, so this beach was perfect because it is less than a foot deep going out for probably a good 30 feet, in other words the kids could run around in the water and only get the bottom of their legs wet! This isn't the nicest beach in the world (or even in my area), it is not on the ocean but the bay, however it is super convenient for us. And the kids had a blast, just running around freezing and doing all kinds of things with the sand! Let me tell you I knew this was just a 'quick' trip to the beach, so while packing things up to go I stuck a few snacks, sunscreen, water and such in the diaper bag and grabbed a bag for beach toys. It wasn't until we got there that I realized I had brought nothing to dry off with or sit on! For some reason that concept never crossed my mind, see I had envisioned us walking along the beach and not sitting or drying off! You would think I didn't live in Florida 3o minutes from the coast! We ended up spending $9 on the smallest beach towel ever. Well here's what you are all waiting for..........

Joshy hated the sand and did not want to be stepping on it!
He was in the sling or on the towel most of the time.

Joshy is talking to the birds here, I couldn't get his attention away from the birds, he was fascinated!

Here are some of those birds, they were everywhere and one nice foreigner was feeding them right near our towel!
The boys working on a castle (that they immediately destroyed) with lots of help from their Daddy!
Sissy showing us all how far out she can walk!

New Post

Yep that is the name of this post!!
Me, "PJ you are too old to be running around in your underwear!"
PJ, "No, I'm not!" and then he runs off!

I'm working on something, but you will have to wait awhile to find out what it is =)!

Of course I'm working on lots of things all of the time, like trying to keep my house clean....wait, that is more like a battle! And right now I'm working on getting Joshy down for a nap and keeping him from climbing on everything he possibly can!

I'm also working on getting this pain out of my neck, see for some reason there were two boys in my bed last night and I didn't have a pillow. So just one more thing to work on.

But you may have to wait a few weeks to find out what exactly I'm 'working' on. Even if I stop working on it for some reason, I'll still let you know what it is eventually ;)!

Not Me Monday

Holy Smokes! I've not 'posted' on here in forever! I've actually started two posts that I never finished. One was just last night and I left it up and then fell asleep on the couch and I will probably erase, the other will get finished and posted sometime! But now to move on to the really important things! It is time for Not Me Monday hosted by MckMama! This is the time of the week when we tell about all the things we "didn't" do the past week. Don't forget to visit MckMama and read all the others(okay maybe not all of them since their are bound to be 100's, but at least read MckMama's) ! So here goes "nothing!"

First of all you might have noticed that I didn't just use six exclamation marks in that last paragraph, I wouldn't do that because that would be overkill.
It's not been more than a week since my last post, geez everyone might think that I've just stopped blogging all together.

I didn't cry like a baby when the washing machine lid fell down on my finger last week, I wasn't sure it was going to fall off and it didn't look as fine as could be later the same day!

I've not been extra tired lately, I've not fallen asleep on the couch four nights this week while watching TV with my hubby. He has not made me start taking his vitamins to help me have more energy!

I've not going to add pictures to this post that have nothing to do with what I'm writing about, that wouldn't make any sense.

I didn't bribe my kids before I left for the store to clean their rooms by promising to bring home a treat. They didn't get ice cream with their choice of toppings after dinner. My Curlyhead didn't refuse to eat any of his chili till after we all had eaten our ice cream. I didn't have to get him out a bite that didn't have cheese on it, I mean that would be strange since cheese makes chili taste better! And of course he didn't have nuggets with his chili as well!

I'm not watching the Grammy's while I'm typing this, nor did I just kill a mosquito and Paul McCartney is not playing on TV now, and I'm not tempted to call my Mom and let her know.

I'm not going to post on here tomorrow just to prove that I'm not completely gone from the blogger world! Oh and I'm not excited that Sugarland is going to be singing in a minute!

My son did not need a haircut this bad!

He didn't want it super short because he was tired of it being long!
And just because he is so darn cute!
